Ještě upřesnění k tomu coopu, teď jsem našel info, že coop po netu tam asi nebude...alespoň zatím ne.
"Oh man I've been away too long... So here's the online co-op situation, I'll try to make it as clear as possible:
First of all, Trine does not have online co-op at launch, and please do not buy the game with the idea that "online co-op will be patched in after launch". It is a possibility but a very small one. And yeah, I fully acknowledge that we've said the same with the Shadowgrounds games - but neither of them made any profit, and that was always the point, and I still stand by what has been said over the years. The Shadowgrounds games did keep us alive, though, and we are very grateful to everyone who bought them.
The thing is that adding online co-op requires a lot of resources (money basically). It is a much bigger undertaking for us than for some other companies, due to the way our core gameplay engine is built. We've never had the financial stability to make a decision to spend that 6 months on reworking the whole engine, and then on top of that make a game. It's a catch-22 - you don't know if the effort pays off, and in our case, if it didn't pay off, the company would probably go bankcrupt. And we very much want to continue making games, I think we've got pretty good at it. With Trine we wanted to make a really great singleplayer experience, instead of a mediocre singleplayer + mediocre multiplayer - maybe we would have got more money that way but seriously, we don't want to make crap games.
Now, with Trine, we are hoping that it will be such a good game even as it is that it will give us a financial position strong enough to give us more options in the future. And that includes online multiplayer features. There's a few choices to be made even in this case, such as whether it's a sequel project, a completely new project, a pay-for add-on, or a free add-on, or a combination (such as sequel + free add-on to the original). These kind of decisions we cannot make right now. If you feel the game is not worth it as it is, with the current prices or in the future when the price is lower, then we respect that decision.
If I had a time machine, I would go back to the year 2003 and convince our younger selfs that we'd need to find a way (money, or tighten our belts even more) to get online multiplayer in, no matter what, because the future benefits would be so high. It would have been so much easier back then. (I've said this before, I remember). Now it's a frustrating situation on this side of the fence too.
Sorry for any confusion, I hope this makes it clear now."
